India, here I come!

Remember playing the childhood game Green Light, Red Light? Well, the past 3 years of my life have been a game of Green Light, Red Light...lots of fits and starts...lots of drama and angst.

Today I just got a great big green light: I met with my mother's oncologist. My mother's cancer situation has stabilized so that she can get a well-deserved summer reprieve from chemotherapy. Her doc is pleased with her progress.
As for myself, I am all set to go on a trip to study in India. This Sunday I leave and am very grateful. God has answered my prayers, and the chemotherapy has done some good work.
Access to secure wifi is limited, so I might not post pics here until late August.
Namaste!

Great news! I'm hoping you will be able to find secure internet more often than you expect, so we can experience India along with you. I know your mom must be happy, for herself and that her daughter is finally, finally heading off on this trip. Travel safely. Namaste.

Oh wow, Nerima! India at last. :-) So glad your mother's cancer has stabilized and you can finally make your trip. Safe travelling and I look forward to hearing all about it.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. I apologize for never responding. After I returned from India, I was back to full-time work, taking care of my mother with her cancer, and of course, raising the grandson. It will be a HUGE relief to retire June 2014. I need time to think, read, tweet, and blog!
