Re-Gifting faux pas

I love my sister-in-law. We always have fun.
This past Christmas she gave me a number of gifts, all beautifully packaged.
I smelled a rat.
You see, she has been really short on money this past year, and I was surprised by these generous gifts.
I confided to my Hubby that I suspect his sister was Re-Gifting.
Hubby just rolled his eyes and kind of made a snorting sound.
I really don't care. The economy has been tough on her. She works part-time as a clerk in a health clinic, and she knows many patients there.
So here is one of the gifts my dear SIL gave me:
Exhibit A

I love these plush blue gloves, and as I attempted to don the said gloves, I discover THIS! Fifty dollars carefully rolled into each finger!
Exhibit B

When I returned the money to my dear SIL, we both just laughed and laughed and laughed.
But I kept the gloves. Every time I wear them, I just laugh a little bit more.

A lovely story, Nerima and if times are hard for your Sister-in-law she can be forgiven for regifting. It's the thought that counts.
